Essiac tea with Sheep Sorrel roots included!

Some Great News From Blue Moon Herbs!

The more Sheep sorrel root in Essiac, the more potent it is and we have always tried to include as much as possible. In 2008 the Sheep sorrel root in our Essiac herb mix was 12%. Since then we have increased it several times, and our highest root content has been 65%. When the pandemic came, we were glad for our supply of herbs, as we watched the beginning of the end of Sheep sorrel root being commercially available.

In the intervening years we started to grow our own Sheep sorrel to establish our own source. Two years and 1/2 irrigated cultivated acre later, we got our first true harvest of Sheep sorrel root in the fall of 2024!

All of the Sheep sorrel root in our tea is now ultra-fresh, ultra-potent and 100% Montana-grown!

HOW? Availability. How to have enough to go around. More pieces of the pie. Smaller pieces. Till a future pie can make bigger pieces again.  So we are sorry to say as of April 2025 and until further notice, the two largest sizes, the 8 oz. and the Master Batch will, for the time being, not be available.

Price. How to avoid raising prices.  Our best solution is truly win-win. In order to make the herbs available to more folks, we are going to reduce the Sheep sorrel root content in the herb mix. Even though there will be less root, it was never truer that dynamite comes in small packages. The high quality of the root more than makes up for the smaller percentage in the formula. When we get more root we will raise the content again. In the coming weeks of Spring 2025 we will be ushering in our new percentages as follows:

The Sheep sorrel in our Glad to be Here line will go from 25% roots to 15%.

The sorrel in our basic 4-herb Essiac will go from 40% to 25% roots.

The Sorrel in our Essiac Extra will go from 65% to 50% roots.

The best Essiac, Good all over again!! We will keep doing all we can to keep you in Essiac while not raising prices. Enjoy your Essiac!
