The Mary McPherson Affidavit

Mary McPherson, Rene Caisse's long-time friend and helper, filed an Affidavit with the Town Clerk of Bracebridge, Ontario, Rene Caisse's home town, in December 1994.  The Mary McPherson Affidavit is the document that officially and  formally entered the Essiac formula into the public domain.

Mary first became acquainted with Rene Caisse in the 1930s, and helped Rene with Essiac in the last decade of her life, packaging the bottles of decoction that were mailed to folks near and far. She continued to make Essiac for Rene's patients after Rene died, from 1978, continuing into the late 1990s!  She became close friends with Sheila Snow following Rene's death, and was in almost daily contact with her for over a decade. Mary's mother, her husband, and Mary herself were all cancer survivors. Mary passed away in 2006 at the age of 93.
