Author and researcher Mali Klein will be sharing nearly two decades’ worth of her experience working with Rene Caisse’s Essiac herbal therapy in the treatment of cancer and other serious illnesses. This master class is designed for professionals and laypersons, patients and doctors alike. Hands-on training will be provided on how to make the various Essiac formulae that Rene is known to have used. Mali will be available for private consultations.

Also :

  • The original Native American eight-herb formula – lessons from the source.
  • An inside perspective on Rene Caisse, the real person.
  • Recommended treatment protocols.
  • Essiac in your own backyard.
  • The future of Essiac – what can be done to develop Rene Caisse’s legacy.

Canadian nurse Rene Caisse (1888 – 1978) was known for her research and development of an indigenous herbal tea into the combination therapy she dubbed ‘Essiac’ – her surname reversed. Encouraged by eight doctors who petitioned the Minister of Health for Ontario to allow her the opportunity to prove her therapy, Essiac attracted national and international attention initially during the 1930’s, when she operated a cancer clinic in Bracebridge, her hometown in Muskoka, Ontario, and again in 1977 when Homemaker’s magazine published the article, ‘Could Essiac halt Cancer?’

Today the wealth of anecdotal evidence and access to the internet has ensured that Essiac has become a household word, with a wide variety of formulae available for sale. Always conscious of the need for excellence, Mali Klein has been researching and writing about Essiac since 1993 and has co-written four books on the subject.  She is also curator of the world’s largest body of Essiac history, the Sheila Snow Fraser Essiac Archive collection.

  1. An inquiry: will the workshop include instruction on making the sauve for external application to skin cancer?
    Thanks,
    Lynne

    • Hi Lynne, the class will address all aspects of using the herbs, in their various combinations, and applications. Rene also left the formula for a salve designed to treat radiation burns and other skin issues, and we'll also be going over that. Mali will also be available to do some additional consultation so that you can take away all that you would like to learn about.

  2. If I am interested in your class but can not physically attend, do you do this online as well or can one get the information sent in hard copy for at home study. I live in Brooklyn New York USA 718-788-8783 or 347-236-6334

    • The class will be a live event only, for the sake of speaking freely. But you have inspired an idea.. an online course that can be interactive. Stay tuned, the wheels are turning!

    • Thanks for asking, and I am putting together an online class for folks who can't make it to Missoula MT. 🙂 If you don't have a copy of Mali's latest book, The Complete Essiac Essentials, I highly recommend starting from there. We also have a 1 hr. 30 min. DVD of a mini-seminar Mali gave in Oct. 2010, called Essiac, A Modern Folk Remedy, that covers a little more than what's in the book. Mali is always available to answer questions, through this website, too.

  3. I differ with most people here; I found this blog post I couldn’t stop until I finished, even though it wasn’t just what I had been searching for, was still a nice read though. I will instantly get your blog feed to stay in touch of any updates.

    • I have found some great info by stumbling onto it. That's part of the fun of following where things take you...albeit with one eye on the clock so maybe hours, but not days, pass! 😉

  4. Hi Debbie
If possible could I video tape the talks on Oct,27 my wife and I plan to come from Canada. Thanks Alberto

    • Hi Alberto, I am consulting with Mali on this one...and this is her decision:
Re. filming the masterclass, Mali says: Essiac is still a hot subject so no one videotapes the masterclass for the simple reason that I will be obliged to edit everything I say as I say it. A master class is just what it says it is and that means exclusive to the people attending, whose questions I will be able to answer a whole lot more directly if we're not on film. Attendees may take notes and they are welcome to call me afterwards to discuss any further questions while I am still in MT 🙂

  5. Couldn't have said it better myself.

  6. This is my first time pay a visit at here and i am truly pleassant
to read all at one place.

  7. What's Happening i am new to this, I stumbled upon this I have discovered It absolutely
useful and it has helped me out loads. I'm hoping to contribute & aid different users like
    its helped me. Good job.
